NPC’s research to date has focused on the UK. However it is now expanding its work in the developing world, in order to meet the growing demand from donors for information on international giving. With this in mind, NPC is setting up an International Team and has launched a pilot project in India with Copal Partners.
NPC hopes that this partnership and its report, Philanthropists without borders, will help to break down some of the barriers around international giving, by providing donors with independent information and advice.
Our International Team will help donors to give effectively in the developing world by:
- explaining the areas of greatest need and identifying funding gaps
- advising on how best to support specific causes
- highlighting examples of charities that could use donations to best effect, and
- suggesting options to solve specific problems.
The International Team will work closely with our other research teams (including health, community and education) to identify common themes, problems and solutions.
