NPC wins innovation award
The growth of philanthropy and the growing role of philanthropic advisors were acknowledged at the recent Spear’s Wealth Management award ceremony. Spear’s Wealth Management survey is well known amongst high-net-worths and ultra-high-net-worths for its subscription-only quarterly and this is the first year they have decided to give the awards.
The Industry Innovation award, presented to NPC, was one a number of awards, including ‘Philanthropist of The Year’ (won by Jamie Cooper-Hohn) and ‘Charity of the Year’ (given to ARK). The judging panel comprised an interesting mix of financial and professional service providers and the media.
Carte Blanche communications, a specialist wealth management communications agency, described why they chose to sponsor the Industry Innovation Award; ‘Our involvement in the High-Net-Worth Award is twofold: to champion the voice of the client and inspire innovation and fresh thinking in the industry. Innovation is often something institutions strive to achieve in the name of their own success. Rarely does a firm’s innovation challenge industry norms, not only to respond to clients’ evolving needs, but also to pre-empt them. It is our view that such an initiative should not go unrecognised.’
NPC’s award for innovation follows a Euromoney Magazine award in 2006 which named NPC best specialist provider of philanthropy services in the UK.
